Terms of Service
Last updated August 5, 2026
1. Acceptance
By creating a Vesper account or using Vesper, you agree to these Terms of Service. You must be at least 18 years old.
2. The Service
Vesper is a private daily journal for a personal tarot and astrology practice. You draw a tarot card for the day ahead and, if you wish, another looking back; you write reflections, record your mood, and see the day's astrological transits read against a natal chart computed from your birth data. You can also turn a card and write about it without an account; keeping what you made requires confirming an email address. Vesper is currently free to use.
3. Your Account
Vesper has no passwords: you sign in with a single-use magic link sent to your email, so keep access to your email secure. You are responsible for activity under your account.
4. Your Content
You retain all rights to the reflections and the rest of the journal you create in Vesper. You grant us a limited license to store, process, and display that content solely to provide the service: to show your journal back to you, compute your chart, and read the daily transits against it. We claim no ownership over your content and never use it for advertising.
5. Acceptable Use
You agree not to use Vesper to:
- Access the service with automated scripts, or circumvent authentication, rate limits, or access controls;
- Attempt to reach another person's account or data;
- Interfere with, overload, or disrupt the service;
- Resell or redistribute access to the service without written permission.
We may suspend or terminate accounts that put the platform or its users at risk.
6. Not Advice; Reflective, Never Predictive
Vesper is a tool for reflection and journaling. Its cards, charts, and transits are prompts to sit with, not forecasts. Vesper does not predict the future and makes no claim to. Nothing in Vesper is professional advice of any kind, including medical, psychological, legal, or financial advice; please do not rely on it as a substitute for a qualified professional.
7. Disclaimers and Limitation of Liability
The service is provided "AS IS" without warranty of any kind. We work to keep your journal safe, but we do not guarantee that the service will be uninterrupted or error-free, and you are encouraged to keep your own copies of writing that matters to you. To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claim arising from your use of Vesper is limited to the greater of (a) the amounts you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim, or (b) $50.00 USD. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, punitive, or consequential damages.
8. Termination
We may suspend or terminate your account for material breach of these Terms or if required by law. You may delete your account at any time. Upon termination, your data is handled as described in our Privacy Policy.
9. Governing Law and Venue
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas and applicable federal law of the United States, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. The exclusive venue for any dispute shall be the state or federal courts of Bexar County, Texas.
10. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms. If we make a material change, we will notify registered users by email at least 30 days before it takes effect. Continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance.
